Ambitious new rock band Wolfpeake are ready to take on the UK, having announced their first raft of live dates. The North West outfit, formed from the ashes of several established touring acts, gave a taste of things to come when they independently released their debut single, Hennessy, in September 2017. Drawing comparisons to some of the most exciting bands in British music – echoing the instantly memorable indie of Catfish and the Bottlemen and the fist-pumping pop punk of Lower Than Atlantis, this new five-piece are hoping to forge a similar path from the underground to mainstream recognition. Vocalist and guitarist Jack Hayes, Rhythm guitarist Dean Worrall, lead guitarist Sam O’Donnell, bassist Arron Twinney and drummer Callum Gibbons formed Wolfpeake following the break-ups of their previous bands – hoping to fall back in love with music, and give their local scene in industrial heartland Barrow in Furness a shot in the arm with this energetic and exciting new direction. The response so far has been nothing short of phenomenal, racking up more than 3,000 followers on Instagram even before a note has been played, and praise from all quarters for their Hennessy single and video, recorded and mixed by JB Studios in Cumbria.
